Concentrates

Category: Extraction & Processing · Level: Beginner

Cannabis concentrates are products produced by extracting and concentrating cannabinoids and terpenes from plant material into a more potent form.

Cannabis concentrates encompass any product in which the desirable compounds from cannabis (primarily cannabinoids and terpenes) have been separated from plant material and concentrated. Concentrate products include hash, kief, rosin, wax, shatter, live resin, distillate, sauce, crystalline, budder, crumble, and oil cartridges. Concentrates are typically significantly more potent than flower, with THC concentrations ranging from 40% to 99%+. Consumption methods include dabbing, vaporization, and adding to flower in joints or bowls. The concentrates segment is one of the fastest-growing categories in regulated cannabis markets. Production requires licensing, safety compliance, and quality testing.
