Hash

Category: Slang & Culture · Level: Beginner

Hash (hashish) is one of the oldest cannabis concentrates, made by collecting and compressing trichome resin from the cannabis plant.

Hashish (commonly called hash) is a traditional cannabis concentrate with origins tracing back centuries in Central Asia and the Middle East. It is produced by collecting the resin secreted by trichomes — through dry sifting (dry-sift hash), hand rubbing (charas), or solvent-free water extraction (bubble hash) — and then pressing or rolling the material into a solid block or ball. Hash ranges from soft and pliable to hard and brittle depending on the production method and plant material used. Modern high-quality 'full melt' hash is produced from ice water extraction and is suitable for dabbing. Hash is one of the most widely consumed cannabis products globally.
