Ein Cannabis-Isolat ist ein gereinigter Extrakt, der ein einzelnes Cannabinoid, typischerweise CBD oder THC, mit über 99 % Reinheit enthält.
Cannabis-Isolat ist die reinste Form von Cannabis-Extrakt und enthält typischerweise ein einzelnes isoliertes Cannabinoid mit Reinheiten von über 99 %. CBD-Isolat ist die am häufigsten vorkommende kommerzielle Form und erscheint als weißes kristallines Pulver. Auch THC-Isolat wird produziert, jedoch als Substanz der Liste I auf Bundesebene in den USA kontrolliert. Isolate werden durch chromatographische Trennung nach der Destillation hergestellt. Sie werden als Inhaltsstoffe in pharmazeutischen Formulierungen, Kosmetika, Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln und Konsumprodukten sowie als standardisierte Referenzmaterialien für Labortests verwendet. Die Abwesenheit anderer Cannabinoide und Terpene bedeutet, dass Isolate nicht den Entourage-Effekt erzeugen, der mit Voll- oder Breitbandspektrum-Produkten verbunden ist.
