Hash oil is a cannabis concentrate in liquid or viscous form produced through solvent extraction, containing high concentrations of cannabinoids.
Hash oil (also called cannabis oil, honey oil, or BHO oil) is a general term for cannabis concentrates with a liquid or semi-liquid consistency produced via solvent extraction. Production methods include butane hash oil (BHO) extraction, ethanol extraction, and CO2 extraction. Resulting products vary in color from light gold to dark amber and in consistency from runny to thick, depending on processing. Hash oil is the base product from which many refined concentrates (shatter, wax, distillate) are produced. In medical cannabis markets, pharmaceutical-grade oil products are produced under GMP conditions for use in capsules, tinctures, and vaporizer cartridges.
