Harvest marks the end of the flowering phase, when cultivators cut cannabis plants for drying, trimming, and curing. Timing is critical: growers inspect trichomes for the shift from clear to cloudy or amber, which signals peak cannabinoid and terpene development. Harvest may be a whole-plant cut or a staged picking of ripe colas over several days. Labor demand spikes at harvest, making seasonal harvest and trimming roles common in cannabis hiring. Post-harvest handling — controlled drying followed by curing — largely determines final potency, aroma, and shelf stability.
