A pre-roll is a commercially prepared cannabis cigarette, filled with ground flower or other cannabis material and ready to smoke.
Pre-rolls are pre-rolled cannabis cigarettes sold in licensed dispensaries. They represent one of the top-selling product categories in adult-use markets due to their convenience. Pre-rolls can be filled with ground flower, shake, or a mixture including concentrates (infused pre-rolls). Regulatory requirements mandate accurate labeling including cannabinoid content, weight, and batch COA information. Premium pre-rolls use whole-flower material; lower-cost pre-rolls may use trim or shake. Infused pre-rolls dipped in distillate or dusted with kief represent a growing premium sub-category.
