Live Resin ist ein Cannabis-Konzentrat, das aus frisch geerntetem und sofort schockgefrorenem Pflanzenmaterial hergestellt wird, um das vollständige Terpen- und Cannabinoidprofil zu erhalten.
Lebendes Harz wird durch kryogene Gefrierung von frisch geerntetem Cannabis unmittelbar nach der Ernte hergestellt, wodurch der traditionelle Trocknungs- und Aushärtungsprozess umgangen wird. Das gefrorene Material wird dann unter Verwendung von Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmitteln (in der Regel Butan oder Propan) extrahiert. Durch das Überspringen der Trocknungs- und Aushärtungsphase behält lebendes Harz flüchtige Terpene und geringere Cannabinoide, die sonst abgebaut würden, was zu einem Produkt mit einem komplexeren, 'lebendigen' Aroma- und Geschmacksprofil führt. Lebendes Harz wird als Premium-Konzentratkategorie betrachtet und erzielt höhere Preise auf dem Einzelhandelsmarkt. Lebendes Harzsoße, Badder und Zucker sind gängige Produktformen.
