Cannabidivarin (CBDV) ist ein nicht psychoaktives Neben-Cannabinoid, das in Cannabis vorkommt und vor allem auf seine potenziellen krampflösenden (antikonvulsiven) Eigenschaften untersucht wird.
CBDV ist ein Propylanalogon von CBD und ein natürlich vorkommendes Neben-Phytocannabinoid, das in Cannabis zu finden ist. Es ist strukturell CBD ähnlich, besitzt jedoch eine kürzere Seitenkette. CBDV hat aufgrund vielversprechender antikonvulsiver Aktivitäten in präklinischen Studien erhebliches wissenschaftliches und pharmazeutisches Interesse geweckt. GW Pharmaceuticals (jetzt Jazz Pharmaceuticals) führte klinische Studien durch, um CBDV zur Behandlung von Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen (ASS) unter dem Namen Epidyolex zu untersuchen. CBDV ist nicht psychoaktiv und hat ein ähnliches Sicherheitsprofil wie CBD. Es kommt in höheren Konzentrationen in bestimmten Landrassen und Indica-Kultivaren aus Pakistan und Indien vor.
